Job Overview

Camden Council is seeking experienced Multi Skilled Engineers with a Plumbing Bias to support the delivery of responsive repairs and planned maintenance services across council housing and associated assets.

This role involves carrying out a mixture of preventative planned maintenance (PPMs) and reactive repairs, with a strong emphasis on plumbing works. The post holder will work to ensure high-quality, compliant and efficient service delivery across the borough.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out plumbing-biased reactive repairs

  • Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks

  • Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently

  • Ensure works comply with health & safety standards

  • Complete work records accurately using digital systems

  • Provide professional customer service to tenants and residents

  • Work independently or as part of a team to meet service targets

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Proven experience as a Multi Skilled Engineer with plumbing bias

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing (preferred)

  • Experience delivering both reactive repairs and PPM works

  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills

  • Knowledge of health & safety legislation

  • Experience working in housing, public sector or commercial environments

  • Good communication and customer service skills

Candidates must have:

  • Experience delivering PPMs and reactive repairs

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing (or equivalent trade qualification)

  • Experience working in a public sector, housing, or commercial environment
